On this site, sizzling volcanic feeds depicting the wondrous wild nature of our planet, are streamed live 24/7, from the Big Island of Hawaii. Kona Arrivals presents a wide selection of views of the very active Kileuea, a lava rich volcano which sits at an elevation of 4,091 feet. Halemaʻumaʻu is a pit crater situated in the much larger Kilauea Caldera at the summit of Kilauea volcano and also contains the two currently active lava vents. These images, courtesy of USGS (United States Geological Survey), are updated every five minutes (refresh this page to get the latest images). For a general view of Kileuea’s layout, please see this map. This site is ‘in progress’ status with more to come shortly.

S1 Cam.

This is Kilauea’s S1 Cam and it looks out on the south rim (collectively known as the Southwest Rift Zone), which is in the opposite direction of the lava vents of the caldera (crater) and Halemaʻumaʻu.

S2 Cam.

The S2 cam is located near the southern part of the caldera (and Halemaʻumaʻu). It is relatively close to the two Kilauea vent holes, which are just north of the camera lens. The general view is of the west portion of the crater. The S designation for the webcam stands for “Summit.

V1 Cam.

This cam is situated on the northwest rim of the crater (Kīlauea caldera) and is looking southeast. The shot composition may change from time to time as the webcam can pivot.

V2 Cam.

The V2 cam is on the northeast rim of the crater and is looking southwest at the lava vents. It too can change in shot composition.

V3 Cam.

This camera is on the south side of the caldera and looks northeast.

B1 Cam.

B1 cam view is via a caldera down-dropped block. Halemaʻumaʻu is from the east side of the caldera and is pointed towards the west. One can see the two levels of the crater in this shot. You will also get a nice view of sunset in this frame.
